Before Unico, Garden of Life was my go to protein powder. When they came out with the plant based protein options, I quickly bought both the vanilla and chocolate options. The vanilla is more “almond” in my personal opinion, but delicious all the same. And the chocolate is just perfectly chocolate. I also ordered the Berry, and have been enjoying that as well. It’s more of a “crunch berry” sort of flavor, and less like an actual fruit, but very delicious.

This is the absolute best tasting meal replacement I’ve had. And that’s saying something. I’m a super picky eater and when it comes to protein powders or any powdered drink I am very very picky. This is the best protein I have EVER had. No bloat, what so ever. It tase beyond amazing! I have one scoop everyday with 8oz of flax milk and it’s the best. I just wish it was in a bigger container, but that won’t stop me from buying it. I’m already on my 3ed container

It does not have the formal approval but most of the key individual ingredients do have the formal certification (all three proteins, the spinach, the sweet potato, oat, etc). We hope to submit the whole product for verification in 2020 so that subsequent runs will have it (it just takes a long time for them to go through the process so we didn’t want to slow down launch to wait for it!). I’ve wanted to add a Vegan meal to my diet for months. But didn’t want to do the work of shopping and cooking. Nor did I want to figure out if I was getting a “complete protein”. One generous scoop of Gemini Haley’s Vanilla, almond milk, ice, water, banana, frozen blueberries and 1/2 tsp of maple syrup. (I love that Gemini isn’t too sweet).

So far, I am super in love with Gemini! I chose chocolate for my first try mainly because I usually gravitate towards chocolate for meal replacement shakes. Amazing flavor! I’ve even added some PB powder to it! Only downside is the amount. I only use one scoop instead of two in efforts to preserve as much powder as I can which ends up in me not feeling full for longer.

This is a really good vegan meal replacement, probably the best I’ve had. That being said, the vanilla (the only one I’ve tried so far) definitely has a funky fake-sweetener aftertaste that my boyfriend noticed immediately.

This protein powder DOES keep you full. It’s a great meal replacement. There were a few things, however, I did not like about this product. First off, the size of the container is very small. When I received mine, it was just over half full. I emailed UNICO and they responded quickly stating that this was normal due to density restrictions, which was understandable. Second, the vanilla flavor has a sort of “berry” taste to it. Overall, this wasn’t for me. I plan on sticking with the other forms of protein powder that UNICO has to offer.
